Due to an overwhelming demand, we are holding a photography workshop/class on February 12, 2011. This class is perfect for those that have a camera that shoots in manual mode and wants to learn about their camera and how to use it in manual mode. This is perfect for moms, hobbyists and anyone really that wants to learn! This class is a 5 hour class that touches on the following:

-shooting in manual mode

-camera modes

-white balance

-focusing and metering modes

-equipment

-basic posing and angles

-working with children

-basic photoshopping including bw, color pop, resizing, cropping, removing unwanted items from the background

-actions

-textures and much more!

Cost is $150.00 and lunch will be provided

Located in Layton Utah.

Ive had an overwhelming request to teach some basic classes. This wont be until after the holiday season my schedule is pretty hectic but i wanted to put it out there. I will be doing two classes on the 23rd of January. Additional classes will be added as needed. I will be doing a manual class, as well as a photoshop class.

Manual class will cover the following:

~getting to know your camera

~different settings on your camera including manual settings, white balance, focusing, metering and more.

~basically everything you want to know to shoot in manual!

This class is perfect for anyone who is wanting to learn how to get the best pictures from there dslr.

Photoshop class will cover:

~tools in photoshop

~layers

~clipping masks

~how to lighten and darken a picture

~color pop

~curves

~textures and more!

this class is for anyone that has photoshop 7 or higher, if you have a cs version this is preferred

The manual class will be $75 per person

and the photoshop class will be $100

Take both for $150!

For now im taking a waiting list, when registration opens these will be the first people notified then it will go public.

Woooh! This week has been a roller coaster ride! Its only just begun! If you are wanting to schedule sessions for family pictures or to celebrate a milestone, please contact me asap! I am booked until the middle of October. I still have a few availabilities for the last two weeks of october, but then its on to November! So if you are wanting to get those family pictures done for those christmas cards let me know! Dont forget to enter the giveaway for free actions from JHP actions here. I had the opportunity to teach a group of photographers and oh my was it amazing!!! I had a blast and we went down and shot in slc, and in my studio, and learned a bunch of fun workflow for photoshop and ate yummy pizza and just talked! I definitely need to do this again! Thanks you guys so much and seriously please dont kill me for posting the red couch pics, you girls are beautiful, so I have to show these, wish I would have got everyone sitting on the couch dangit! sad time ran out…..

and my beautiful daughter, man Im lucky =)

Ive teamed up with Jen Fauset, of Fauset Photography
to teach a manual class down near her stomping grounds in Salt Lake. This class will be from 9-11am. here are the details….
*Learning your camera
*Shooting in manual mode {metering, shutter, aperture, ISO etc.}
*Capturing magical moments in childrens lives
*Lighting {models will be provided for you to practice on}

Mothers Day Special and other photography news

How many of us are always behind the camera? (me me me) Do you ever wish you had more pictures that you were in? Well this is my motto, live life with no regrets. You NEVER know what tomorrow will bring, so those of you that do not have pictures with your family, extended families, kids this is my plea to you to please get pictures taken. I know I know, we all are thinking things like, “well I wanted to lose a few pounds first”, or “I need to get my hair done” or many excuses (trust me people I know, I come up with these same excuses) I am getting family pictures done this month for mothers day and I challenge you to do the same thing. What a priceless gift pictures are with your family. Time is something that cannot be replaced lets make the most of our precious time. For the month of April, any mothers day session that is booked will receive $25 off your session fee and 15% off prints and products. Again this is for mothers day sessions only including outdoor family sessions, mom and sibling sessions, and group sessions. On other news…….Im starting an exclusive program for those that follow my art and my growth. I will be sending out newsletters, model searches, special promos and contests (including free stuff yay!) Okay so due to a change in plans….we have had to move our manual workshop to May 30th, if you are an attendee that has already paid, I will be contacting you shortly. For all others this is the exciting part! We were able to add a photoshop class onto this!!! So this is the schedule…..

May 30th 2009

9am-1pm

Manual Class Cost is $100

2pm-6pm

Photoshop Class Cost is $125

If you do these two classes together the cost is $200

If you attended our last manual workshop class you can attend just the photoshop portion for $100.

Workshops and Mentoring….

We had a great manual workshop Saturday and I had more fun than I had ever planned on! We had a great group and it was fun to keep it smaller and more intimate! I would love feedback from our attendees on what you thought and definitely keep us posted on your manual adventures, any questions you may have please email Annie or I. We are offering another manual workshop on April 11th. There are still spots remaining for this one and the fee is $100.00. Here are some pictures from first manual class…..

As far as workshops go Ann from Anniemations photography and I will be offering a plethera of information at this weeks Business workshop. It is saturday and runs from 9am-9pm the cost is $350 this includes hours and hours of information that we have spent years collecting as well as a CD with valuable information for your business and not to mention a yummy dinner and round table discussion, dont miss this! This will be our first and last business workshop offered due to other avenues we must both focus on (yep you got it our photography businesses) we may down the road offer more classes but most likely not this year. I may or may not do another photoshop class im contemplating but im thinking of doing something else instead…..Ready????
MENTORING!!!!!!! This is the scoup, you can mentor with me for 2 hours or 4 and with or without a friend. You decide how we will spend our time. We can do Newborns, posing in general, shooting in manual, photoshop, marketing and business anything! (okay well maybe not anything lol) ~~I dont know everything (really who does)~~ but I know what I do and I know that I love it! Ive mentored a few in the past whom have loved it so I decided what the heck. Pricing you ask?
$200 for 2 hours {$150 per person if you do it with a friend}
$350 for 4 hours {$300 per person if you do it with a friend}
