August 12, 2011Well, we welcomed a baby boy on July 19th. It was a rough delivery, but we were blessed to have him in our arms safe and sound. Emil Jace Vargason was 8lbs 6oz and 21 inches long. I will have a whole fun post introducing him, his birth announcement, and of course some fun pictures! I was also lucky enough to have Alicia Kinne Photography capture his birth story, so ill share that as well 
But for now, lets get on to the biz!
Through the fall months, my schedule will be limited to no more than 2 sessions a week. Unfortunately, since my family needs me with my little one, there will be no exceptions to this. Please if you are expecting, or need to capture a milestone or family session for the holidays, I ask you to book in advance. This will guarantee that you will have a session date. I am offering a few specials yay!!!!! The first special is great for those that are just wanting an updated family picture, couple picture, update the kiddos pictures, or just a picture for a holiday card. Im offering mini sessions! September will be located in Ogden and will capture the last of that summer look, the greenery etc. October will focus on fall leaves and will be located in Ogden, and November will capture the look of the fall golden wheat. Space is limited to 5 mini sessions per month. Please see attached image for more details and examples. You may register on the blog by visiting HERE Im also offering full family sessions for $325 including your session, approximately 40 images, and a 5×7 digital holiday card. Thats a savings of $75 off the normal family price!
If you are wanting a full family session with fall leaves, please book in advance. I shot a lot last year in mountain green, and the leaves turn colors earlier, so its important to book early to mid september for those. Please email me with any questions at marissavargasonphotography@gmail.com
Im in need of a newborn model for a segment. Newborn must be 7-9 days or newer on Monday May 2nd. You must be available that day for your session. Need a mom that is residing in Davis county, or local surrounding weber county area, and is okay with me coming into your home to do the session. If you have a nursery finished for your little one that is preferred. Session will be complimentary as well as digital images. Must be willing to sign a model release. Spring time is ahead yay and the first signs of spring for me are the blossoms! Im offering mini sessions this year in the orchards! Perfect for capturing many memories! These are perfect for your kids, an updated family picture, couples pictures, senior pictures, or a milestone! You would never guess spring is on the way by the looks outside today, but I like to think ahead. Appointments for these sessions will be limited. Please include the following, your name, your childs age, and a recent snapshot of your child. We will be contacting you on Wednesday of this week. Sessions to take place next week. January 3, 2011Wow!!! Im so behind!!!! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a happy new year! Welcome 2011!!!! First off I want to thank all of my wonderful clients for supporting my business in 2010! I have so many fun and new exciting things to post and announce!!!! Including a subdivision of Marissa Vargason Photography called Organic Baby photography! Visit us on facebook and become a fan! Okay first posts first…..The santa charity was a huge success!!!! With your help, we were able to donate so many things to so many families in need!!!! It was amazing! We will definitely be doing that again next year, here are some fun shots we got…
I cannot believe I havent posted this on my blog!!!! I guess we can call me a space cadet! We are having santa clause come down from the North pole for a quick visit! He is coming to meet with the kids for a great cause! One that we would like to continue to promote year after year so help us out? Come Saturday from 12-2pm in Layton utah and donate an unopened toy or clothing item and get a free digital image with santa clause! We are donating items to a few local charities to help those in need and spread Christmas cheer! One of the organizations that we are donating to is the local womens and childrens shelter. They are in great need right now. For women they need all sizes of socks, underwear, coats, thermals, long sleeve shirts, Jeans, and sweat pants. Kids need toys (without small parts if possible) and they are in immediate need of the following items and ages: jeans (REALLY NEED), socks, coats, shirts, and pajamas. The ages are as follows: 8-10 yr old girl, 9 yr old boy, 6 yt old girl, 2 yr old boy, 2 yr old girl. Lets really pull together as a community and help those out in need! What a better way to help those in need and spread some holiday cheer!
